The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. is fortunate to have assets related to amateur radio for the enjoyment of licensed amateurs as well as to use in the promotion and education of the hobby to non-licensed persons.  With such assets, it is imperative to maintain up to date documentation of such assets.

CHAPLAIN/VISITATION COMMITTEE

The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. members care about each other and offer comfort and support through all stages of life.

The Chaplain/Visitation Committee has the responsibility of counselling amateurs and their family members during times of need along with providing notification and updates to fellow amateur radio operators on the status of fellow members all within a professional and courteous manner.

CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS COMMITTEE

As with any organization it is imperative the organization to live and grow.  With growth, an organization must update the documentation regarding the structure and operations.

The Constitution and Bylaws Committee is responsible for ensuring such structure and operations are adhered to as specified by the constitution and bylaws of the organization.  The committee is also responsible for making updates and presenting to the members for consideration and approval.

OLIVER HARDY FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

Harlem, a city within Columbia County, GA is the birthplace of Oliver Hardy.  The City of Harlem hosts the Oliver Hardy Festival every year on the first Saturday of October.  The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County (ARCCC), Inc. enjoys participating in this festival by hosting an information booth about amateur radio and the club, as an outreach to those who are not amateur radio operators.

PRESENTATION COMMITTEE

Constant exposure to all aspects of technology is imperative for us to maintain continuous education.  The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. is committed to conducting presentations at the general meetings which help us all learn.  Presentations may be 15, 30 or 60 minutes in duration.  If you have an idea for a presentation or would like to present a topic to our members please let us know by contacting us here.

REPEATER COMMITTEE

The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. operates several repeaters and associated equipment for the enjoyment of amateur radio operators as well as for use during emergencies/disasters.

The Repeater Committee is responsible for the implementation, adjustment and maintenance of the repeaters and associated equipment.

The Committee is also responsible for investigating new technologies and researching best practices as well as implementing the desires of the club members.

VOLUNTEER EXAMINER COMMITTEE

The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. is proud of the Volunteer Examiners who give back to the hobby by giving their time to help expand the number of licensed amateur radio operators.

The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. sponsors VE Testing on the second Saturday of Odd numbered Months.  The testing sessions are held at the H2U Building located at 1305 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA  30909 which is behind Doctors Hospital.  Click here for specific details on the testing location.
