The Field Day Committee is responsible for planning and executing all aspects of the Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Inc. Field Day operations.

Each year on the fourth full weekend of January, many Amateur Radio Operators participate in Winter Field Day.   Winter Field Day Association (WFDA) is a dedicated group of Amateur Radio Operators who believe that emergency communications in a winter environment is just as important as the preparations and practice that is done each summer but with some additional unique operational concerns.  More information regarding Winter Field Day can be found here: http://www.winterfieldday.com

ARCCC, Inc. Winter Field Day

Additionally each year on the fourth full weekend of June, Amateur Radio Operators from all across North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio science, skill and service to our communities and our nation by participating in the ARRL Sponsored Field Day.  More information regarding ARRL Field Day can be found here: http://www.arrl.org/field-day

June 27th & 28th 2026

Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County (ARCCC) participates in ARRL Field Day. ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 31,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.

This is a chance for anyone wishing to explore the amateur radio hobby to ask Licensed Ham Radio operators about their craft. While there, we invite you to take the mic and make a few contacts over the air.

All Ham operators are invited to join us and participate if you wish.
